ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION

Applicants must:

• Be a resident of Connecticut (or his/her primary work must directly impact the people of Connecticut)
  
• Have experience or interest in working to promote health equity for all Connecticut residents and improve the quality of life for those who have been historically unserved or underserved
  
• Show strong evidence of leadership experience or potential for leadership, as demonstrated by community service, life experience and formal education
  
• Demonstrate a basic understanding and potential impact of racial and ethnic health disparities on health status, community stability and the economy of Connecticut
  
• Be able to commit to full participation in all Fellows program activities.

Applications will be assessed based on the applicant's residency status, answers provided in the essay section of the application and by his/her commitment to fully participate in all aspects of the Fellows program. 

Past Fellows will review applications, interview selected applicants and determine the final candidates for the 2011 Health Leadership Fellows program.
