CT Health actively strives to serve the unmet needs of the state and its communities and to be responsive to unserved and underserved populations.
ABOUT US
The Connecticut Health Foundation (CT Health) is the state’s largest independent health philanthropy dedicated to improving lives by changing health systems. Since it was established in July 1999, the foundation has supported innovative grant-making, public health policy research, technical assistance and convening to achieve its mission - to improve the health of the people of Connecticut. It has funded over $39 million in grants.
The foundation focuses its resources on three program areas:
Improving Access to Children’s Mental Health Services
Reducing Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities
Expanding Access to and Utilization of Children's Oral Health Services
Aside from directly supporting community-based grant proposals, CT Health fosters discussions surrounding public health issues through conferences, meetings, educational briefings, workshops, etc. The foundation also invests resources to conduct objective research on issues important to health policy debate, such as Connecticut’s spending cap and the oral health of publicly insured children throughout the state.
